Alex has advised a wide range of private and corporate clients since 1989. Having originally trained at Standard Life, he joined a National firm of Independent Financial Advisers where he worked for 20 years before joining Oculus. Alex is a qualified member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and the Personal Finance Society (PFS).

Alex has considerable experience working alongside other professions and has advised many of their clients, specialising in high value catastrophic clinical negligence claims and personal injury trusts, many of which often require a more complex set of financial and tax planning considerations.

Outside work, Alex enjoys being a member of the Business Advisory Board of a Community Interest Company where his wife is one of the original founders. When time allows, Alex also likes playing the occasional round of golf, cooking, spending time with his family and friends, and travelling.
