David is a Chartered Financial Planner and has been helping clients to achieve their personal dreams and financial planning goals since 1991, with 9 years experience in banking prior to that.

Starting out with NatWest, he moved to Equitable Life, before becoming an Independent Adviser in 2000. He was a Director of a large regional firm in the Midlands, before it was acquired in 2018 and he made the move to join Oculus in 2023.

He has extensive experience in the Corporate sector, helping business owners to plan for the specific needs of their business. This involves working with a lot of high-net worth individuals, who have complex personal needs.

Outside of work, David has tried his hand at many sports, including badminton, football, squash, rowing, hang-gliding and para-motoring, although now focuses mostly on keeping fit and spending time on the water - in a kayak or on a paddleboard at his home in Aberdovey. Married to Lisa, they have 5 children between them and 2 dogs, along with a holiday home business, so live is never dull!
