Martin is a founder member of Oculus with 31 years of experience in core areas of financial planning, specialising in wealth management, tax planning and retirement planning. Martin is an accredited Chartered Financial Planner; Certified Financial Planner (CFPTM); European Financial Planner (EPF); and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (FPFS). Martin is a member of the: Personal Finance Society (PFS), Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Martin is married to Karen and has a 12-year-old son: Matthew. Martin a member of Bath Golf Club, with three holes-in-one to his name; two at Bath GC. Martin is also an avid cricket fan; albeit his playing days are long since passed.
